To say that foreclosures have been rising is like saying that a few people ascended onto the Washington, D.C. mall for President Obama’s inauguration. Foreclosures have, and unfortunately, will continue to soar in the coming months (if not years). Many mortgage specialists have already noted that the foreclosure “boom” of 2007 and 2008 just represents 1/3 (one-third) of the anticipated foreclosures that have and will occur due to the sub-prime crisis and other questionable credit/loan practices. Thankfully, the government has attempted to develop programs and offerings to assist people facing foreclosure. Banks as well have developed a few programs. Unfortunately, most consumers do not qualify for these relief measures and still remain vulnerable to foreclosure and eventual eviction.
What should they do? Many advocate having homeowners call their lenders and negotiate a settlement and/or a loan modification regarding delinquent payments. Whereas we cannot say no one should follow this tip, we do believe many that advocate it considerably underestimate the abilities and skills necessary to successfully negotiate with lenders.
Recently, California Congresswoman Maxine Waters was inundated with calls and letters from her constituents asking for her assistance with their foreclosure issues and problems. ABC Nightline decided to track her efforts to assist three (3) constituents.

When she called the lenders, she had, in the least, an exceptionally frustrating experience. So if a respected, well-known, congresswoman cannot get adequate service and is ineffective at negotiating with the lenders, how can regular consumers expect to be successful? The answer, of course, is “they can’t”.
Accordingly, we advocate getting a specialist to assist consumers, and, of course, believe METRO REAL ESTATE 4U, LLC, offers some of the best service available. As specialists or “mortgage/modification consultants”, we are familiar with the processes, know the “lingo” the lenders use, and, most notably, understand how to tailor and present consumers’ financial capabilities in a manner that increases the likelihood of getting approved modification proposals.
It’s been said that “an attorney that defends himself/herself has a fool for a client.” Whereas we would not quite go that far, it is clear that using a good consultant or foreclosure assistance service, like METRO REAL ESTATE 4U, LLC, can be more than worth the moderate investment.
